CareAcademy is a virtual training platform that provides web-based education to caregivers working for home care and home health organizations of all sizes, from small agencies to multistate enterprises. The company’s mission is to help agencies and caregivers provide excellent care to their clients and to improve client outcomes. CareAcademy works with thousands of agencies, franchisors, and caregivers to manage caregiver training so they can acquire and retain the talent needed to grow their business.

The platform offers a long list of training courses, auto-assigned compliance materials based on state requirements, audit-ready training logs, the ability to view the progress of all caregivers over time in one place, automated reminders for caregivers to take training, and the ability to assign individual classes to caregivers to prepare them for specific clients.

In California, direct care workers are essential to the success of the state’s initiatives CalAIM (California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal), Medi-Cal Long Term Services and Supports, and the Master Plan for Aging. The investment in CareAcademy aligns with CHCF’s focus on workforce development and support for the state’s major health initiatives.

CareAcademy CEO Helen Adeosun founded the organization with the desire to help caregivers learn how to deliver the best care to older adults and to improve their quality of life. She is a passionate advocate for increasing economic opportunities for women of color and was named to Fortune’s 40 Under 40 list in 2020 and one of Ten Outstanding Young Leaders by the Boston Chamber of Commerce in 2021.
