CHCF funds projects that are aligned with its strategic goals, have relevance to California health care as outlined in these goals, and generally have implications beyond a single institution. While unsolicited requests are accepted by the foundation, most of our grants are solicited or awarded through a competitive request for proposals.
If you would like to make an unsolicited request, please follow these instructions. If CHCF staff invite you to submit a full proposal, please follow these guidelines.
CHCF also provides program-related investments (PRIs) through our Innovation Fund to support health care technology and service companies with the potential to significantly improve quality of care, lower the cost of care, or improve access to care for Californians with low incomes.
