​Emma Dewhurst is a research assistant in the Department of Health Policy and Management and an MPP candidate at the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration at the George Washington University.

Concentrating on program evaluation and policy analysis, Dewhurst is particularly interested in reproductive health and women’s policy issues. Before joining the Fitzhugh Mullan Institute for Health Workforce Equity at GWU, Emma worked as a case manager for a social services and workforce development nonprofit in Cincinnati.

She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
