Darlene Torres is the director of Community Health Services at Salud Para la Gente. Salud Para La Gente is a federally qualified health center (FQHC) with clinics in Santa Cruz County and North Monterey County. As a “health home,” SPLG has a mission to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and cost-effective health care that is responsive to the needs of the communities they serve. SPLG seeks to ensure quality health care to all in need, and make sure they are where the community needs care.

Torres is serving as a managing partner for the 2023-2024 cycle of the California Improvement Network, a project of the California Health Care Foundation that is managed by Healthforce Center at UCSF.
