About This Event

Prescription Drug Abuse Awareness Month was established through legislation sponsored by California State Senator Mark DeSaulnier and signed by Governor Brown in 2013. The designation of March as Prescription Drug Abuse Awareness Month provides the opportunity to engage your community to raise public awareness about prescription drug abuse and to promote your coalition.

On our first “office hours” conference call, hear tips related to passing a resolution, hosting media events, and working with families and advocates from leaders of RxSafe Marin and the San Diego County Prescription Drug Abuse Task Force.

The East Bay Safe Prescribing Coalition also hosted a webinar to share ideas for easy things you can do to help raise awareness about prescription drug abuse in March; the recording of this event is below.
