Convening — Understanding and Improving Health Care in the Central Valley

About This Event

From high medical debt to long wait times, Central Valley families report major challenges when it comes to getting the health care they need. The California Health Care Foundation (CHCF) recently conducted a poll of residents in Fresno, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, and Tulare Counties. The region’s top priorities? Reducing how much people pay for care. Making it easier to get mental health treatment. And better access to health care providers.

How do high costs and workforce shortages affect the health decisions that Central Valley residents are making every day? How are regional health system leaders working together to address the issues that are most important to residents? What can we learn from local organizations who are helping community members overcome barriers to health care?

This event has passed, but you can watch a full recording of the discussion on YouTube.
