With product costs coming down and concern over medical errors on the rise, increasing numbers of physicians are taking a hard look at electronic medical records (EMRs). To help small practices weigh the benefits of this technology, Forrester Research produced a buyer’s guide to EMRs for the office-based doctor, with particular emphasis on groups of nine or fewer physicians.

This 2003 report offers a detailed analysis of the products available from eight EMR vendors, as well as a free interactive tool designed to help buyers customize their assessment according to the individual circumstances of their practice.
