CIN Workshop – Clarifying Vision and Desired Results for DEIB Efforts in Communities

About This Event

Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) programming is central to creating an inclusive organizational culture and spaces where community members can feel part of health and social service organizations.

The California Improvement Network (CIN) is offering two workshops, led by Jess Chacón from J. Chacón Consulting, that explore effective practices for key phases of DEIB work, whether it’s clarifying vision, deciding which results to collect and share, or creating a compelling narrative that highlights the impact of organizational DEIB efforts.

The first workshop will focus on helping organizations clarify their vision and consider the type of information that will showcase their DEIB results. (The second workshop will focus on using the results to create a compelling narrative that highlights organizational DEIB impact on communities served.)

Join us for one or both workshops, depending on your organization’s current focus and efforts. These events are offered free of charge and will not be recorded.

Who should attend these workshops:

  • Leaders of organizations, departments, teams, and projects
  • Staff leading DEIB efforts
  • Staff who are doing community-facing work

At the end of this first workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Decide their desired result type(s): episodic, developmental, and/or transformative to demonstrate impact of their DEIB efforts.
  • Plan for how they will collect results of their DEIB efforts that demonstrate impact.

Past participants overwhelmingly indicate CIN programming to be a worthwhile use of their time. See recordings of recent past CIN events.
