About This Event

In 2016, CHCF and the Yellow Chair Foundation funded the National Partnership for Women & Families to field its signature Listening to Mothers survey in California. This marks the first time this highly regarded and widely consulted national survey of the views and experiences of childbearing women has been fielded at the state level and in Spanish. Results of the survey were released to the public on September 12.

The September 20 webinar featured a discussion of key findings from the survey. Presenters included Carol Sakala, PhD, director of Childbirth Connection programs at the National Partnership for Women & Families, and Eugene R. Declercq, PhD, professor of community health at Boston University, who led the survey team.

The event was designed for media, state and national policymakers, researchers, advocates, and anyone interested in the health and health care of childbearing women and infants. The webinar presentation is available under Related Materials.
