About This Event

The bidders webinar was intended to address questions related to the community health worker/promotor stakeholder engagement RFP. This request for proposals (RFP) is intended to identify a grantee to coordinate a process to advance the California Future Health Workforce Commission’s community health worker/promotor (CHW/P)1 recommendation (PDF) to “scale the engagement of community health workers, promotores, and peer providers through certification, training, and reimbursement” (p. 149). This project is specifically focused on developing recommendations for state certification of training programs and curricula for CHW/Ps, in collaboration with stakeholders.

Notes

This trusting relationship enables the worker to serve as a liaison/link/intermediary between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery.
