Select Comments Opposing Proposed Public Charge Regulation

Below is a compilation of organizational statements and comments submitted to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by national and California health and philanthropic organizations, and by California state and local government officials in opposition to the Trump administration’s proposed changes to the public charge rule. Comments were due by December 10, 2018, and DHS is still in the process of posting the 266,000 comments received. DHS is required to review and respond to the comments in the final rule.
