California Improvement Network

Resources and Tools

To accelerate the spread of innovation in care delivery, CIN has developed programming and resources to address some of health care’s most complex problems. Through a collaborative design process with CIN partners, the network has identified three priority areas for learning and action in 2020–21.
    • About CIN
    • Partners
    • Resources and Tools
    • Events
    • Podcast
    • Get Involved

Our three priority areas are:

  • Resilient Leadership
  • Addressing Social Needs That Impact Health
  • Providing Care Differently

These resources are intended for health care professionals who are decisionmakers at all levels, and at a range of commercial and safety-net provider organizations and health plans, to identify and spread better ideas for care delivery.

The CIN resource library is a collection of curated resources on other crucial topics to support health care leaders in driving change in their own organizations:

Behavioral Health Integration

Ensuring that Californians have timely access to behavioral health treatment appropriately linked to their physical health care.

Managing Financial Risk and Total Cost of Care

Focusing on payment models in play both in California and nationally to manage the cost of care including case studies and expert advice on successful risk-based payment models.

Preventing Burnout and Promoting Provider and Staff Resilience

Tackling the emotional exhaustion, interpersonal disengagement, and low sense of personal accomplishment that can impact personnel.

Sign up for an upcoming CIN event or see materials from past events to learn real-world lessons from those who have implemented quality improvement initiatives. To stay apprised of future webinars and events offered through CIN, sign up for our CIN newsletter.

In addition to the above resources, CIN has a trove of recordings on YouTube from its webinars, workshops, and meetings going back many years and covering a huge range of topics. We frequently host special speakers to lead in-depth discussions on emerging issues on improving primary care in California. Watch the replays on CIN’s YouTube Playlist. (Note: CIN videos on YouTube are hosted under the channel of CIN’s funder, the California Health Care Foundation.)
