Scott Owens is executive assistant to the president at the foundation, where he provides direct support to the CEO and board of directors. Scott is the administrator for CHCF’s board-level content management system and ensures consistent and accurate information dissemination.

Before joining CHCF, he worked for more than a decade at the San Francisco Foundation as executive assistant to the CEO, where he provided executive-level support, accounting oversight, and administrative management in the executive office. He previously worked at the Corporation for Supportive Housing.

Outside of his work at CHCF, Scott demonstrates a local commitment to public service in Napa County. He served on the Napa County Library Commission (2014-2021), and the Napa Valley Transportation Authority Citizen Advisory Committee (2018-2023), and is currently active on the Town of Yountville Community Foundation’s board of directors and Leadership Napa Valley Program Committee.

He studied at Louisiana State University (LSU) and the University of New Orleans before earning degrees in arts and humanities, and in social and behavioral sciences from City College of San Francisco. He also received a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of San Francisco, and is a Master of Business Administration candidate (online) at LSU.
