Ryan Sherod is a program associate with CHCF’s Improving Access team, which works to improve access to coverage and care for Californians with low incomes. He provides grants management and administrative support to the team.

Prior to joining CHCF, Ryan worked as a donor engagement associate for the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Previously, Ryan held positions at the Stanford Social Innovation Review as both a publishing intern and as a program coordinator for the 14th annual Nonprofit Management Institute. Ryan also worked as a communications coordinator for the Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund, drafting and disseminating community news and partner communications.

Ryan received a bachelor’s degree in political science and public policy from the University of California, Berkeley. At UC Berkeley, Ryan was awarded the 2020 Matsui Local Government Fellowship and worked with the City and County of San Francisco.
