Josephine Taylor, known as Jo, is a program associate with CHCF’s Improving Access team, which works to improve access to coverage and care for Californians with low incomes. She provides grants management and administrative support to the team.

Prior to joining CHCF, Jo was program director at Skyhawks Peninsula, where she handled the management and HR issues for staff at the youth sport camp. She also spent many years at Consumers Union / Consumer Reports as a senior administrative assistant and an activist outreach coordinator. As a coordinator, she encouraged consumers to share their financial or health stories with the media or legislators to bring attention to various issues. She also assisted with mobilizing activists to participate in trainings, community events, and several advocacy campaigns.
