Jose Santacruz is a communications associate with CHCF’s Communications & Engagement team. He manages grants and contracts, provides administrative support to the communications team, lends operational expertise to the team’s logistic processes, and supports CHCF’s external engagement activities.

Before CHCF, Jose worked at the Communities for Just Schools Fund as a programs curator, where he focused on grants administration, fundraising, planning virtual and in-person events, and engaging with grant partners across the country focused on education justice. He has also worked at Borealis Philanthropy, The Greenlining Institute, and Centro Legal de la Raza, and currently serves as a chair on the Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy Bay Area Chapter. Jose earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology, law, and society from the University of California, Irvine.
