Charles Reader is chief talent officer at CHCF, where he leads strategies to support staff engagement, talent acquisition, benefits administration, and fostering a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). Charles brings over 20 years of experience in human resources and talent management, driving measurable organizational impact and alignment with CHCF’s mission to advance equitable health care for underserved communities in California.

Before joining CHCF, he served as vice president of human resources for LEWIS Global Communications, overseeing talent operations for over 200 employees across the US. He holds Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certifications, as well as an MBA from Walden University.

Beyond his professional role, Charles is a dedicated advocate for social impact, serving on nonprofit boards, including NAMI San Francisco and SFCASA, where he furthers initiatives in mental health, youth advocacy, and community empowerment.
