CHCF works hard to improve California’s health care system so that all Californians can get the care they need. We focus especially on making sure the system works for Californians with low incomes and for Black, Latino/x, and other communities who have traditionally faced the greatest barriers to care.
Below is an overview of CHCF’s grantmaking strategy, with broad three-year goals and specific areas where we focus on making the biggest difference. Our commitment to advancing health equity is a defining feature of our entire strategy and is embedded in all our work.
Goals | Focus Areas |
Advancing People-Centered Care CHCF supports care systems to work collaboratively to ensure people receive responsive, comprehensive, and coordinated services that support their health and well-being and reduce inequities in care. See examples of work in this area. |
