What Readily Does
Founded in 2023, Readily is an AI-powered compliance platform that automates the labor-intensive compliance work health plans and providers must do. It pairs a unified knowledge base of regulatory requirements with AI workflows, helping plans meet compliance faster and at lower cost. Readily serves 15 health plans, mostly Medi-Cal managed care organizations, including roughly 70% of California’s local health plans.
The result: Medi-Cal plans and providers can prepare for audits and meet regulatory requirements more efficiently. That lowers administrative spend, reduces audit risk, and frees compliance staff to focus on work that improves quality and oversight across the Medi-Cal delivery system.
The Impact
One Central California Medi-Cal plan cut compliance costs from $2 million a year to $120,000. Its compliance rate rose from 30–40% to 80–90%. Audit capacity grew from 20 to 150 audits annually.

Why CHCF Cares
This program-related investment aligns with our Technology in Medicaid work, which supports responsible AI in the Medi-Cal delivery system. Readily equips compliance and operational teams at Medi-Cal health insurance plans with AI-enabled workflows that automate regulatory tracking, policy management, and audit preparation.
It also makes care more affordable by simplifying administration. Compliance is one of the most resource-heavy jobs at a health plan. Teams process more than 700 regulatory changes a year. A single regulatory analysis can take five or six people weeks to finish, and outside consultants often cost more than $2 million a year. Readily has cut that analysis from three weeks to two hours and shortened audit cycles from nine months to three. Those savings can go back into serving members.
