Webinar — How Can California Improve the Prior Authorization Process?

A Discussion with the Network for Excellence in Health Innovation

About This Event

According to CHCF’s 2024 health policy poll, four in 10 Californians report that they or a family member had to wait for a prior authorization (or approval) from a health insurer before they could get a procedure or medicine prescribed by a doctor. More than half of Californians (55%) report waiting a week or longer.

How can California improve the prior authorization process? Join CHCF on December 11 for a discussion with Wendy Warring and Lauren Bedel from the Network for Excellence in Health Innovation. They will share findings from their work with industry leaders and consumer advocates to identify the highest-priority problems with prior authorization and potential solutions. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and speak with the panelists.
