About This Event

Pregnancy is a time when women with opioid use disorder may be highly motivated to decrease their opioid use. Both methadone and buprenorphine are safe and effective in pregnancy. This webinar addressed the unique opportunities and challenges of treating opioid use disorder in pregnancy. It will address initiation of methadone and buprenorphine, as well as management of pain for women on these medications during pregnancy.
 

About SHOUT

Support for Hospital Opioid Use Treatment (Project SHOUT) provides clinical leaders with the tools they need to start and maintain patients on buprenorphine or methadone during hospitalizations for any condition, be it medical, surgical, or obstetric. Specialists from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) will provide a suite of supports: coaching, toolkits, protocols, monographs for pharmacy and therapeutics committees, webinars, and onsite presentations.
