CIN Webinar — New Perspectives on Executive Transitions

About This Event

It shouldn’t be a secret when key personnel begin thinking about transitioning out of an organization; in fact, it’s healthy for organizations to think strategically about their next chapter. If such a transition is well planned and prepared for, new leadership can be a positive milestone for an organization and offer an important opportunity for organizational growth and development.

During this California Improvement Network (CIN) webinar, Ralph Silber, former chief executive officer of the Alameda Health Consortium and CIN partner Community Health Center Network, outlined the three phases of successful executive transitions: preparation; search and selection for the new executive; and onboarding and ongoing support. All three phases are equally important, but many organizations focus almost all their time and energy on the search and selection process. Ongoing organizational and leadership development at all levels is the most important way to prepare for an executive transition.
