CIN Learning Session – The DHCS 2022 Comprehensive Quality Strategy and Bold Goals Initiative

About This Event

The California Department of Health Care Services’ (DHCS) 2022 Comprehensive Quality Strategy (CQS) lays out the quality and health equity strategy to support the vision that people covered by the Medi-Cal program have longer, healthier, and happier lives. Part of this strategy includes The Bold Goals: 50×2025 initiative, which focuses health equity efforts on the domains of children’s preventive care, behavioral health integration, and maternity care. These priority areas will be embedded into the detailed quality objectives and metrics, health equity roadmap, and value-based payment reform strategy.

The California Improvement Network hosted this learning session about the CQS and Bold Goals with Priya Motz, who leads the work of the Bold Goals Initiative at DHCS. Hear about why and how the bold goals were developed, the impact DHCS is hoping to drive by setting this ambitious agenda, and how different organizations can plug into the goals to advance the health equity efforts at the state.

This learning session will benefit anyone who is leading or contributing to efforts to advance health equity, especially in children’s preventive care, maternity care and birth equity, and behavioral health integration.
