On March 16, 2021, CHCF, along with The California Endowment, The California Wellness Foundation, and Blue Shield of California Foundation, asked Governor Gavin Newsom to assure that FQHCs and nonprofit community-based organizations led by people of color be prioritized for receiving federal funding from the recently passed American Rescue Plan Act.
