The California Health Care Foundation periodically uses generative AI tools to assist in the production of written and visual products. In doing so, we abide by the following principles:
Human-in-the-loop
Consistent with our values, CHCF commits to keeping humans in the loop when it comes to using technology in our work. Every piece of content generated with the assistance of AI will be reviewed, fact-checked, and approved by staff before publishing to ensure alignment with our mission and the well-being of the communities we serve.
Public disclosure of AI
CHCF will disclose the use of generative AI when used to generate images or videos. If generative AI is the primary source for text, its use will be clearly noted.
Limited use
CHCF acknowledges the bias inherent in generative AI and will not use these tools to make grant decisions.
