Louise Chu is director of engagement at the foundation, where she oversees digital, content, and audience engagement strategy to support and promote the organization and its individual program areas. 

Louise has worked in health care communications and marketing for more than a decade. Most recently, she was senior director of brand & communications at the behavioral health company Octave, where she oversaw creative strategy, marketing content, media relations, executive communications, and internal communications. Prior to that, Louise served as executive director of digital communications at UCSF, where she led an award-winning multimedia content team and managed digital communication standards for a 30,000-person organization.

Louise started her career as a journalist and editor for The Associated Press in Sacramento, Atlanta, and San Francisco. She received her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication Studies from UCLA.
