Michelle Wong is a director at Kaiser Permanente’s Care Management Institute, a national organization co-sponsored by the Permanente Medical Groups and Kaiser Foundation Health Plan designed to catalyze and spread leading practices to improve care for KP members and their communities. She has worked at KP for over 20 years in a variety of areas including complex health and social needs, Medicare, evidence-based guidelines development, and chronic conditions management.

Wong currently serves on the advisory committee for the National Center for Complex Health and Social Needs. She is a commissioner on the city of Oakland’s Sugar Sweetened Beverage Tax Community Advisory Board.

Wong has masters’ degrees in public health and in public policy from the University of California Berkeley.

She is serving as a managing partner for the 2023-2024 cycle of the California Improvement Network, a project of the California Health Care Foundation that is managed by Healthforce Center at UCSF.
