Melissa Lucas is a marketing and communications manager at Healthforce Center at UCSF and oversees communications for the California Improvement Network.
Melissa has extensive experience in communications strategy, editorial, outreach, and grant writing in the fields of health care policy, social services, internet access, and tech for good. Melissa formerly served as senior web editor at CHCF, where she oversaw online publishing operations, managed social media, produced visual and interactive content, and analyzed performance metrics.
Melissa earned a bachelor’s degree in community studies with a minor in language studies (Spanish and German) from the University of California, Santa Cruz. During that time, she interned at a family planning clinic in Costa Rica.
