Julia Strasser is a senior research scientist in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Fitzhugh Mullan Institute for Health Workforce Equity.

She has worked in health care, with a focus on policy and research, for more than 10 years, including previous positions at the National Cancer Institute, the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association, and Planned Parenthood of Western Washington. Her dissertation research examined practices and policies for supplying oral contraception onsite at community health centers, and her current research interests include reproductive health, Medicaid, and community health centers.

She holds a BA in history from Yale University, an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a DrPH in health policy from the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health.
