James Kyle, MD, is a native of Los Angeles, California. He has served as a pastor, administrator, educator, and an officer in the Army Reserve Medical Corps. He is the former dean of the Loma Linda University School of Public Health and has occupied multiple leadership roles at the Charles R. Drew University in South Los Angeles. Kyle is also an ordained minister and pastors a church in Glendale, California.

He received a bachelor’s in religion from Loma Linda University, a master of divinity degree from Andrews University Theological Seminary, and a medical degree from the UCLA, where he completed internal medicine residency.
