Bob Brownstein has been the research and policy director at Working Partnerships USA for 17 years and was a leading strategist in developing the Santa Clara County’s Children’s Health Initiative. Bob is chair of the County Health Reform Stakeholder group and has played a leading role in the adoption of affordable housing policies, transit equity programs, city and county living wage policies, and San Jose’s successful minimum wage initiative. He previously served as chief of staff for County Supervisor Susanne Wilson and budget director for San Jose Mayor Susan Hammer. He has a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, a master’s in political science from Stanford University, and a master’s in environmental studies from San Jose State University.
