About This Event

The Center for Integrative Medicine (CIM) at Spectrum Health in Michigan is highly regarded for its innovative care model, which uses patient-centered principles, Lean / Six Sigma workflows, and new understanding of addiction neurobiology to treat patients who use emergency department (ED) and hospital services at rates well above average. Led by Dr. Corey Waller, a national expert on such “high utilizers,” CIM’s work has improved patient function and quality of life, decreased ED visits by more than 50%, and transitioned patients from high-dose opioid regimens to safer alternatives.

In time for this webinar, Waller is launching www.complex.care — a new website that provides training materials, program development considerations, and resources for those treating patients with complex care needs.

The website offers guidance in clinical competencies and care management program development based on seven archetypes of high-utilizer patients with common histories, conditions, and needs.

A recording of this webinar is below. In it, Waller walks through the new website and discusses how it can help your organization deliver high-quality care for high-utilizing patients.
