About This Event

Traditionally found in manufacturing, Lean is an approach to organizational redesign that focuses on the elimination of waste (think staff, time, money, and space). These days it is increasingly being deployed in health care too.

Learn firsthand from New Jersey-based Virtua Health’s experience with Lean, including how they used the technique to help implement an EHR in their clinics.

In addition, analysts from the American Institutes for Research (AIR) describe the findings of a new evaluation into how some health care organizations are using Lean in the workplace.

Hear from:

  • Tejas Gandhi, MS, director of management engineering and Lean leader, Virtua Health
  • Kathryn Paez, RN, PhD, principal researcher, AIR
