About This Event

As we collectively respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for resilient leadership has never been greater. This California Improvement Network webinar series, Compassionate Leadership in Times of Crisis, combines sources of inspiration with pragmatic resources and tools customized to support health care professionals in staying resilient. This content is based on the resilient leadership framework of Leah Weiss, PhD, MSW, with a deep dive on purpose, self-compassion, compassion, and mindfulness.

This webinar recording is focused on purpose. By the end of this session participants will:

  • Understand the scientific underpinnings of purpose and why it matters for maintaining resilience
  • Gain insights into how purpose-driven industries can often be a double-edged sword for performance, well-being, and sustainability
  • Develop tools for homing in on their sense of purpose and create ways to memorialize it as a mechanism for support of bolstering resilience
