The California HealthCare Foundation (CHCF) today released a Request for Proposals for reports in a new iHealth Report series. iHealth Reports is an ongoing series of surveys, reports, and forecasts from the iHealth and Technology Program of the California HealthCare Foundation. The reports examine the development and deployment of new information technologies in health care, including their policy and regulatory impact. The reports are targeted to a broad audience of health care professionals and are intended to help inform and advance the field.

What: Request for Proposals (RFP): New iHealth Report Series

The Foundation will select authors to research and write reports for a new series of iHealth Reports focused on key elements of successful IT planning, deployment, and adoption in health care. The topics include:
  • Electronic medical record guide and ratings;
  • Measuring cost/benefit in information technology;
  • Providing secure information exchange in health care
  • Patient-physician communication; and
  • Other - Authors may propose one new topic of related interest to the field. When: RFP released today. Responses are due no later than 5:00 p.m. PST on Thursday, December 19, 2002. Awards will be made on or about January 15, 2003.
