Browsers

For optimal use of the CHCF.org website, we recommend that users have Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0+ or the most recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. This site was designed to run on these browsers, and you may experience technical difficulties if using other browsers. The recommended screen resolution is 1,024 by 768 pixels or more.

Document Downloads

CHCF reports are typically published as PDF (Portable Document Format) files, which can be viewed and printed as they were originally published but cannot be changed. Most of our PDF files are about 500 K (0.5 MB) and therefore quick to download; files approaching 2 MB will require additional download time. For best results, you will need Adobe Reader version 6.0 or later, which is available as a free download from Adobe.

Occasionally, we publish supplemental materials in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, or Excel format. For users who don't have Microsoft Office, we suggest using Open Office for these files, which is free.

Media Players

Audio and video files, and interactive visualizations, are presented using the following no-cost technology: Adobe Flash or HTML5, and sometimes Windows Media Player.
