CHCF has launched a new version of our website, and we want to bring your attention to some of its improved features.
Putting Grantees and Their Work at Center Stage
A "carousel" at the top of our home page highlights what is new at CHCF. It provides a place to see and hear the stories of our grantees and how they are working to improve the way health care is delivered and paid for in our state. From the carousel you can read reports, watch videos, visit related websites, or use interactive presentations that dig deep into the data behind our state's health care issues.
Making Navigation Easier
We have simplified the way we organize information on the website. "Who We Are" provides an overview of the goals and objectives of CHCF and its programs. "What We Do" offers direct access to our programs, with information on their projects, initiatives, and staff. A "Browse" tab lets you find information by topic, access our publications, and learn about key projects and initiatives. The internal search box lets you search by topic, title, name, and keyword and gives you access to our projects, publications, initiatives, and related grants.
Ordering Charts "à la Carte"
Many of our visitors asked for an easier way to access our library of charts and graphs to support their presentations and publications. In response, we created "Chart à la Carte," which lets you customize and store charts from our graphic presentations for your own use. Anywhere you see the shopping cart icon, you can access our chart library and begin building your presentations.
Getting Social
Many of our program staff are beginning to use the site's new ability to personalize biography pages to post lists of recent projects and publications, to save "bookmarks" that highlight work in their field that they find intriguing or enlightening, and to engage with others through social media. Staff biographies can be found through the "Who We Are" menu.
Finding Help
A core group of dedicated visitors comes to our site for three main purposes: to learn about our funding priorities, to find out how to apply for a grant, and to access our publications. We hope that we have made access to these areas more convenient and clear, but remember that you can easily access our funding priorities and grant information through the Grants button at the top right of every page. And if you are looking for publications, click on the Browse button on the top of any page.
Monthly Newsletter
Our monthly newsletter has a new name — Ideas & Innovations — and a new design to help you learn more about the people and organizations improving health care in California. Be sure to subscribe to Ideas & Innovations.
We hope you enjoy our new version of CHCF.org and, as always, we are interested in your feedback. Please send your comments to
