About This Event

The incoming Trump Administration has vowed to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA). But will they? And what would it mean for California?

While there is still much uncertainty about how the battle over the ACA will ultimately unfold, this webinar provides an overview of basic facts and concepts to help California journalists with varying ACA expertise cover the story as it evolves in the coming months — and understand the unique ramifications for California.

The webinar includes a quick refresher on the ACA and its impact in California, the potential pathways to repeal, and some of the common components and themes of emerging replacement plans.

Hear from:

  • Amy Adams, senior program officer, Improving Access at the California Health Care Foundation
  • Larry Levitt, senior vice president for Special Initiatives at the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, and senior advisor to the president of the foundation

The presentation slides are available below. Also available for download is a resource list for journalists, which includes California-specific data, research, and analysis on the ACA and the potential impact of a repeal.
