About This Event

Since 2006, the PFCC Partners at the Innovation Center of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) has helped its caregivers adopt, accelerate, and spread patient- and family-centered care (PFCC) by using a six-step process to view all aspects of the care experience through the eyes of patients and families.

The result is a reliable and sustainable method for improving quality of care, patient safety, and satisfaction while reducing waste — all without additional cost to the organization making the change.

Hear from Anthony DiGioia, MD, practicing orthopedic surgeon and medical director of the PFCC Partners at the Innovation Center of UPMC and the sister Bone and Joint Center. Dr. DiGioia collaborates with caregivers and leadership in health systems to export the spread of these tools for any care experience.
