Vanessa Beals is a program associate with the CHCF Health Innovation Fund, which invests in technology and service companies with the potential to significantly lower the cost of care or improve access to care for low-income Californians.
Vanessa manages the grants administration function for the team and provides administrative support to the team and other members of the CHCF staff.
Prior to joining CHCF, Vanessa worked as an activation and promotions event lead at iHeart Media, where she held previous positions as a front desk receptionist and intern. Before that, she worked as a practice assistant at UCSF Medical Center. Vanessa has held internship positions at diverse organizations: consumer electronics company Doblet, large health system Dignity Health, and the office of Assemblyman Roger Dickinson. She was a 2012 participant of the University of Southern California's Diversity in Leadership Healthcare Initiative.
Vanessa received a bachelor's degree in health care administration and management from California State University, Sacramento, and a master's degree in health care administration from California State University, East Bay.
