Before joining CHCF, Shah worked as a consultant with The Inovo Group, building innovation capabilities into client organizations and culture. Shah also completed a one-year fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Innovation Center, where he focused on identifying and validating unmet needs in cardiovascular health and total patient care. In addition to creating commercially viable and adopted solutions, he was responsible for business development at the center, and continues to serve as a technical advisor to the center and mentor to future fellowship classes.

Sanjay received a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing and a master's degree in business administration with a dual focus in finance and marketing from Wayne State University.
