Ellen Koskinas, MBA

Ellen Koskinas is a consultant to the foundation's Health Innovation Fund, which seeks to support entrepreneurs who have business concepts with the potential to significantly lower the total cost of delivering care or to substantially improve access to care.

Koskinas has deep experience in health care investing, exemplified by her seven years with InterWest Partners, a diversified venture capital firm in Menlo Park, California. Prior to working at InterWest, Koskinas started a minimally invasive cardiac surgery business for Guidant Corporation, achieving a $15 million revenue run rate in two years.

Earlier in her career, she worked as an engagement manager at McKinsey, where she handled projects for a broad range of pharmaceutical, health care delivery, and medical device clients. She also has experience in corporate finance at Morgan Stanley in New York and London.

Koskinas received a bachelor's degree in economics with distinction from Harvard College and a master's degree in business administration from Stanford University.
